FOREWORD

Assalamu’alaikum wr. wb.

Thanks God I pray to Allah SWT who has given blessing, so I can complete the task of Twinning Programme Report to discuss all about our experience about Twinning Programme to Malaysia and Singapore.

Twinning Programme Activity held at 9^th-14^th September 2012. The country that we visited is Malaysia and Singapore. Twinning Progamme Report contain all information about our activity in Malaysia and Singapore.

The goal of this report is to share our Twinning Programme experience for all readers. In the preparation of this report, not a few problems that we faced. But we thing this report wont done if there is no a good team work and support from all people that help us to done this task.

Therefore, I would like to thanks for :

1.      Mr. Hartoko Hadi, S.Pd, M.M as Principal of State Junior High School 1 Purbalingga.

2.      Mr. Wasis Andri Wibowo, S.Pd as Chife Programme  of Twinning Programme Year  2012.

3.      Mr. Bondan W., Mrs. Sri Kusmirah, S.Pd.Kn. and Mrs. Dra. Budiati W. as Our teacher in this programme.

CHAPTER I

PREFACE

A.  Background of the Acivity

Twinning Programme is a routine school activity from SJHS 1 Purbalingga (SMPN 1 Purbalingga). Every years all students grade VII and VIII have a chance to follow this programme but by selection from school. Quote of students is maximal 20 students with 5 teacher from school.

B.     The Goal of the Activity

The goal of this programme is to learn and knowing about education in a foreign country like Malaysia and Singapore. Like learning proccess, student’s activity, oranzation and facilities of our school sisters.

C.    Place of the Activity

This years, SJHS 1 Puurbalingga made realtionship with new school in Malaysia, that is Seri Puteri School Cyberjaya and SMK Jalan Empat. But before we go to Malaysia we go to Singapore for refreshing.

CHAPTER II

REPORT OF HUNTING TOURIST

A.  Report of Regulation

Our group has a task to observe the regulation in Singapore and Malaysia. Same with Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore has many regulation. The difference with Indonesia is the citizen of this country really obey the rules and the trespass is very slightly. Here, we wil show to you an example notice, caution, prohibition, etc that we looked when we visited Singapore and Malaysia, :

1.      Plane

a)      Switch off your mobile phones.

Means : You must turn off your mobile phones in the plane.

2.      Singapore

a)      No Parking & Waiting Except For Alighting / Picking of Passengers (In front of Hjh Maemunah Restaurant)

Means : Nobody is not allowed parking and waiting,except he/she will wait his/her vehicle or he/she will pick up someone.

b)      Cycling is prohibited (Merlion Park)

Means : Visitors are not allowed to use cycle in this area.

c)      No Smoking (Sentosa Island)

Means : Visitors are not allowed to smoking in this area.

3.      Malaysia

a)      Parking

Means : The place to parking.

b)      FIRE Press Hard To Break Glass

Means : If there fire accident pres it to break the glass.

c)      Exit

Means : The way to exit from the room.

d)     Silence

Means : Visitors are prohibited to make noisy.

e)      Dilarang Buat Gaduh

Means : Visitors are prohibited to make noisy.

f)       Open (Cooperation School)

Means : Cooperation is ready to serve students.

g)      Foods and Drinks are Prohibited in This Area (Health Centre)

Means : Visitors are prohibited to bring Foods and Drinks.

h)      Fire Prohibited (Dust Bin)

Menas : You must not throw the rubbish that make fire.

i)        Zon Menutup Aurat

Means : Visitors must close their genitals body’s part.

j)        Visitor Are Not Allowed

Means : Visitors are not allowed to enter the room or use the facilities.

k)      No Entry Unless Authorised

Means : Visitors are not allowed to entry except there is authorized.

l)        Use The Stairs With Care

Means : Students must be carefully when use the stairs.

m)    No Bags Is Allowed In The Science Laboratory

Means : Students are not allowed to bring bag to the science laboratory.

n)      No Access for Unauthorised Person

Means : People that have authorized can access the room.

o)      Ladies

Means : Only for ladies.

p)      Men

Means : Only for Man.

q)      Layan Diri

Means : User or consumers are must serve by its self.

r)       Emergency Stop

Means : Press the button when in emergency condition.

s)       Please Do Not Lean Against The Door

Means : Passengers are not allowed to lean on the door.

t)       Do Not Put Your Hand on The Door

Means : Passengers are not allowed to put their hands on the door.

            Actually there is much of regulation like notice, caution and prohibition in Singapore and Malaysia, but we just look it.

B.  Story

§  1^st Day

                 First, we went to Jogjakarta on Saturday, September 8^th 2012 at about 7.00 p.m. We had night travel. At about 1.00 a.m. we arrived on Jogjakarta and we had rest in Victory hotel on Jogjakarta that near Adisutjipto Airport.

§  2^nd Day

                 After we had rest at 5.00 a.m. we had breakfast on Hotel Victory. After we had breakfast we went to Adisutjipto Airport to had preparation to went to Soekarno-Hatta Airport Jakarta. After we boarding on Adisutjipto we prepared to flied to Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Before, plane take off the steward and stewardess exhibited the way if the plane has an accident. On sky we also look two mount, and we can look could but if the plane hited the could the plane will sway. Not felt the stewardess told all passenger that we arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. On Soekarno-Hatta Airport we only transited so we do not have to take our suitcase, because the suitcase been moved by the plane party. Because the time still long we had rest on airport. At about 10.35 we must went to plane again to continued our flight went to Singapore. The flight will took about forty five minutes. Because we felt tired we slept on plane, but we only slept about thirty minutes then we looked the black could on border between Indonesia with Singapore.

About 1.30 p.m. we arrived on Singapore. We are very happy because we can visited neighbor countries. But We’re also disappointed because negligence plane party. Adit’s suitcase has broken on the wheel and drive, Adit sure had panic. But, he also felt lucky because his friend’s and our teacher’s suitcase not found. Actually the suitcase was left on Jakarta. We became angry with Lion Air party because our suitcase was broken, our friend’s and our teacher’s suitcase was left, our friend’s suitcase untidy because open by plane party. Finally, the suitcase will delivered to Singapore by other  plane. Then we had lunch, on the way to restaurant we be explained about Singapore by Mr. Jo. Then we had lunch at 4.00 p.m. Singapore time on Hj. Maimuna that is the Padang restaurant the menu same with Indonesia. After we had lunch we went to Marina Bay Sands and Merlion Park, but before that we stopped in Chocolate store. On that we look so much chocolate. Out of the chocolate store we continued our trip. We’re very enjoyed this trip. We looked scenery in Singapore.  Not felt we arrived at Marina Bay Sands and Merlion Park. Before we went to Merlion Fountain we crossed the bridge, same with Indonesia in the bridge we looked some rubbish on there and the water also black and brown. But we enjoyed that. We looked Merlion Fountain, but the fountain not issue the water. On there we took some photos for our memory.

Then we went to Sentosa Island and went to Universal Studio. The trip very long but not felt we arrived Sentosa Island. We entered Universal Studio only to take photos. After that we went to Arches Restaurant, but we do not particularly like the cuisine. Then we waited the show of Song Of the Sea. We looked men that can fly but using wind. Then we looked Song Of the sea show, before that we are given a raincoat . When we get into the zone performances are outdoors zone, we was very surprised that we usually only watch on TV now we can be here. We wait very long time. Then Song Of The Sea Show begins, exactly at 8.40 p.m.  The opening alone is amazing what's next ? We are also took a video on our camera. Amaizing we said. The show combines the beam, and rhythmic fountains of flame. Then we went to our bus to went to Little India to had shopping. In Little India  the majority are people from India. We’re shopping firstly because our friends must had prayer on mosque. We buy unique souvenirs from Singapore. Then We went to a new bus, because we will went to Malaysia. We are the first passenger on there. We must leaved with Mr. Jo. Over time our friends coming. Then we must had a rest because the time is very long.

§  3^rd Day

At 2.00 a.m. we arrived at Malaysia Immigration, then we continued our trip to Seri Puteri School. We must moved to other bus again. On there we were told a little about the language differences. And we were also given time to rest again. Moment we arrived at Seri Puteri Cyberjaya School, and went to girls lodge. Only then we went to boys lodge.  After we  arrived our lodge, we divided our bedroom. Then we had rest again. At 7.00 a.m. we must had bath and personal use. At 8.30 we were picked up by student there. We are invited to a full breakfast in the dining room called “ DEWAN MAKAN ”. After that we invited to go to library and entered a room to had introduction of inter-school. We know that this school is only girls students. Completed event we invited to looked all parts of that school. This school is very big. So Amazing. We are also be explained all about parts of that school. Our buddy’s name is A’fiani and Zhu. Not felt we must had lunch. After we had lunch we allowed to went to our lodge to had a little rest. Then we must change our uniform became sport uniform to exchange traditional games. The game not very different, but we know 1 Malaysian games that use 4 sandals or Kasut ,like on “Upin & Ipin” cartoon. After that we must went to our lodge to bath and personal use. We’re very tired but we also happy. The night has came, we invited again to had dinner. We had dinner with students there. After we had dinner we went to our lodge to go to bed and had a rest. Tiring day.

§  4^th day

Today is 11 Sept 2012 , The Nice Morning for us after yesterday we enjoy first day in Malaysia, we get up at 04.00 am in Malaysia Time. We start this day with new spirit,  because today we will visit school and go shopping, horrayy…, .

We queue for take a bath, because in one bedroom only has one bathroom, and in one bedroom there are four children. Today we got first to take a bath , wow we are felt very cold, take a bath at 04.15 ? It is very seldom for me. But take a bath is not monster that has one eyes and big size, hrhr.

At eight o’clock we go to “Dewan Makan” to have breakfast, the delicious meal for start our day. We think all of we hope to get plus meal, haha.

And then at nine o’clock we go to SMK Jalan Empat, Bandar Baru Wangi . We went there by Seri Putri bus. In the bus we sang together and played together like “Konsentrasi” , very simple game but it is very fun. Sst our teacher is disturbed, with our noise, hha.

Finally we arrived in SMK Jalan Empat, Bandar Baru Bangi. After we entered the school, we got warm regards from students on this school. We answer it with smile and give warm regards too. Then we got meeting that give us more information about this school, after that we got meal that named “ Nasi Lemak” and the beverage is “Teh Tarik” , in our region “Nasi Lemak” like “Nasi Rames” and “Teh Tarik” like “ Teh Susu” .

Now its time to take a picture with school administrators.., say cheese… We make a group that consist of Bagas, Adit, Ilham, Pacu and Josephine. We will walk around this school with our students guide. Wow this school is very large, it has four floors, we think we will tired but its beated by our spirit, yeah. First, we visited “UKS” but in this country the name is “ Bilik Kesihatan” , the room is very beautiful, large and clean. We think all patient will enjoy this room. Then we go to “Seri Budiman (Discipline Room) “ , in Indonesia this room like “ Ruang BK  “ .  Small room but it is comfortable. The function of this room is to lead the naughty students to became a good students. After that we go to “ Toilet “ , the toilet is very clean and beautiful because it decorated by fresh flower.

Let’s go to lobby, there are two lobby in here, the first lobby placed in the room and other is placed out.           After that we go to second floor. “Use the stairs with care” we always find it if we use the stairs, and sure we obey this notice. In the second floor we go to “ Kantor Guru “ , very large room with many desk for every teacher. We also take a picture with the teacher in this school. Let’s continue this trip. We go to “ Library “ , ssttt keep silent say the Guard of the library, yes we must keep silent in this room. The library has all document to study so when we visited this room there are many student that came to read a book. Let’s go to “ Mushola “ , but what is it? , we shouldn’t to enter if we did not has importance, so we only look from a distance. This mushola also use to teach “ Muslim Religion Lesson “ .

Then we go to one of the class, this class is very decorated. We also take a picture with all student in this class.

                 Let’s go to third floor, in this floor there are many classroom all classroom is teached but we permitted to visited, all student are very kindly with us and we very enjoy this classroom.

 Then we go to first floor because the fourth floor is use to exam and nobody permitted to enter this floor except the student and the imprtoance teacher. In the first floor we go to laboratorium, there are many caution stick in the wall. But the room is used so we can enter this room.

Now the time is twelve o’clock , its time to had lunch. We give our facebook name to our student guide, then we enter the bus to went to KLCC Central Market. When we arrived in the KLCC we gave “Ringgit” to had lunch, so we must to had lunch in KLCC. We had lunch in one restaurant that has Indonesia Culinary, we ordered one menu because the portion is big. We also ordered beverage because we very thirsty. After we had lunch we went to shopping, we bought many things that symboled Malaysia, after that we went to Seri Putri to had dinner.  
                 Then we rested in our hostel, and then we played together with Liason Officer in Dewan Putri Perdana , it is very fun and we enjoy it. After we tired we went to Dewan Makan for had drink at night. It is 10.30 in Malaysia Time we must came back to our hostel. We very happy today and got many experience.

   §  5^th Day

On Fifth day, we can joined lesson on there.  Adit, Ilham, Pacu, and Pandu on one class the class name is 2 Elite. The first lesson is music, we learn about Gamelan. The gamelan is same with Indonesia. Adit played saron, Pandu played gendang, Ilham played saron and Pacu played _________. The teacher is friendly likewise the student. The second lesson is Jepun Language, I don’t know about Japan at all. The third lesson, we don’t know the name of lesson but the lesson is on Bengkel room, on there we studied like mathematics and drawing some rectangle, triangle, square, etc. Then we learn Malay Language on school hall, because combine with other class. On this lesson we met other delegation friends and we asked to make a pantun for Malaysia Independence month.

Then we invited with our buddy to had lunch, then we went to our lodge to prepare our performance on Malaysia Independence celebration. We wear our costume but be covered with batic uniform because this is formal event. We are invited to enter school hall with Principal of Seri Puteri school and Education minister. Before we will perform we change our costume. We’re very nervous because many people there. But after perform we get great appreciation. Then we heard welcomed from education minister. We also looked   exchange of souvenirs from Seri Puteri Cyberjaya School and SMP Negeri 1 Purbalingga. Then we invited again to went to dewan makan to had dinner, Birthday celebration, and Idul Fitri celebration. On there we looked the students that receive door prize. Evening came, we had time to rest. At night we had meeting with our buddy, because we afraid tomorrow we can’t had meeting again. So we are sad, and cry, because we are like a best friends. This is the sad moment.

§  6^th day

We must had preparation to go to Genting. At 8.00 a.m. we had breakfast. Then we went to Tanah Genting. We stopped and moved to other bus that is the special bus went to Genting. The trip about 2 hours. Genting is recreation place on hill. To went to games place we must riding the gondola along 3.5 km. After about 15 minutes we arrived the recreation place. First I had lunch on KFC. Then we play on there. The place is very big. Fog down in the middle of the game so much so that we cold. I also had to take a photo and bought some souvenirs. We are very hungry, we buy Mee Kari and Hot Milo. Actually the waitress is Javanese people. Then we went back to Seri Puteri School. On the way we got stuck in traffic jam. We also looked Petronas at night from far. Then we arriver the school and had dinner. After that we went to our lodge and slept. Before we go to bed, we must pack our luggage because we're going home tomorrow. Today is tiring, happy but also sad day.

§  7^th day

In the morning we invited to had breakfast at 7.50 a.m. then we went to Putrajaya. First we visited Sultan Alam Syah School. That is the hostel boys school. Then we went to buildings owned by the royal and the greatest mosque. After that we went to Putrajaya Convention Center to took a photos. Then we must went to Seri Puteri school again to brought our suitcase to bus baggage. After that we must split with student there. Then we had lunch before continued our trip. We also receive some souvenirs from our buddy. Then we must went to KLIA ( Kuala Lumpur International Airport ). We wait a long time to take off from Malaysia. We take off from Malaysia at 14.30 p.m. The flight about two hours and thirty five minutes. The flight is very long time. Then we arrived Indonesia, especially on Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Then we must wait a long time again because the flight from Jakarta to Jogjakarta will take off at 6.30 p.m. Then we found news that the plane will delayed until at 7.30 p.m. At 8.00 we must take off to Yogyakarta. We landed on Adisutjipto Airport at 9.00 p.m. Then we will had dinner at 9.30 p.m. on Paradise resto, Wates, Jogjakarta. Then we continued our trip to went back to Purbalingga.

We Arrived Purbalingga especially on SMP Negeri 1 Purbalingga at 2.30 a.m. on Saturday, September 15^th 2012.

 

CHAPTER III

CLOSING

A.  Summary

From this activity we can get many amazing experience and new knowledge from foreign education like in Malaysia. Here we can knowing that education in Malaysia is good and like in Indonesia. And when we in Malaysia the school is manage the schedule very good and easy to follow.

B.   Suggestion

We have some suggestion for travel agent to make sure the schedule before it give to the students participants Twinning Programme 2012. Beside we re tired and feel bad to follow your regulation and feel like “PHP”. Actually we are feel strange when school destination is change. We are so disappointed about it. And then all paricipants (students) said “ In Indonesia Free = Paid” so strange. The free partcicipants do not say it but my friends from unquote and paid said like that.

However, totality Twinning programme of this year is going very well and give us as participants many new experience.

Finally we just have one message to improve all thing about this programme will become better then now and last year in the future.
